SOLD OUT! April Chapter Lunch with POW Col. Bernard Talley

Join us for this rare opportunity to hear Col. Bernard (Bunny) Talley, an Air Force F-4 pilot shot down in 1966 leading to 7 years as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton.

Our special guest, Col. Tally has an incredible journey to share. Col. Col. Bernard Leo “Bunny” Talley, Jr. (U.S. Air Force, retired), a native of Baltimore, Md., entered the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in June 1962 after graduating from Mount Saint Mary’s University. In May 1965, he was awarded his pilot wings and began flying F-4C Phantom jets. Less than a year later, this 26-year-old 1st Lt. volunteered for deployment to Vietnam.

On the night of September 10, 1966, while flying his 76th mission, his plane was shot down and his 7-year journey as a POW began.  Col. Talley was awarded two Silver Stars, a Legion of Merit with a bronze oak leaf cluster, the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Bronze Stars with Valor, two Purple Hearts, a POW medal and numerous others.

The USNA Alumni of North Texas hosts this event in conjunction with the West Point Society of North Texas and the North Texas Association of Air Force Academy Graduates. As the combined populations of the three alumni clubs is large, we anticipate this event will result in a full house. Please do not delay your registration if you want a seat for you and your guests.
